What’s the big deal about bunk beds?
Consider this; You have a three bedroom house, you and your spouse sleep in one room, your 6 year old son has one, and your 4 year old son has the third one. Your family is now expecting a baby girl! Congratulations? Of course, but where are you going to put everybody? You don’t have the time or the financial resources at the moment to even consider looking for a bigger house.
The two boys can double up in one of the bedrooms, however, there just isn’t enough room left over after both beds are in the one bedroom. Bunk beds to the rescue, so to speak. Not only will this furniture combo give you the increased room you are looking for, today’s kids bunk beds have so many themes and attractive features, that your kids might actually want to go to bed.
Okay, maybe not, but here are some more positive features; Today’s bunk beds and futon bunk beds sets are not only safer than years ago, they have additional optional features that parents can really appreciate. For instance, some have drawers that can be added on the sides or underneath the bottom bunk. Some sets come with so many drawers, you can actually eliminate a dresser and save even more space.
Ever heard of a Trundle bed? Well, it’s big in Europe. Basically it’s an extra bed that slides underneath the bottom bunk that gets pulled out when you need even more sleeping space, for that occasional sleep over, for instance.
